Getting A Beastie and Bone Tattoo

“That would make a cool tattoo!” is one of the best compliments my work as an artist receives. Knowing folks enjoy my art to the point of wanting it permanently on their bodies is such an honor. But while I’m not accepting any new custom art projects at the moment (see my previous post for further details on project availability) I’ve realized that, unfortunately, not many people know I actually have a Tattoo Pass in my online shop for use on practically every piece of art I’ve made.

In the day and age of Pinterest, AI, and large companies like Shein, AliExpress, etc, taking independent artists’ designs and profiting off them, sometimes enormously, purchasing a tattoo pass from artists whose work you admire has multiple good uses.

One, you are helping to support the artist who created that art continue to make new work for you to enjoy. And in the case of the Beastie and Bone tattoo pass, you receive a downloadable receipt that you can present to your tattoo artist should they ask if you are allowed to use the art you want made into a tattoo. And finally, it helps make sure you’re not stepping on anybody’s toes should the art you want tattooed actually, legally, belong to another client.

When purchasing a tattoo pass from Beastie and Bone, please email first and mention which illustration or piece of art you are interested in getting tattooed. While the majority of Beastie and Bone art is up for grabs, tattoo-wise, there is plenty of it that belongs to clients who paid for that art to be made specifically for them. So, checking in via email first helps you make sure you’re not coping someone else’s tattoo, or even their logo!

If you’re still wanting a custom design for a tattoo, though, make sure you’re subscribed to the Beastie and Bone newsletter and/or following Beastie and Bone on social media so that you’ll know when custom project availability is announced! The newsletter signup form and links to Beastie and Bone on Instagram and TikTok are just below in the footer of this post.

Be well,
Stacia
