Bat-wing Cicadas Paper Entomology Originals
Created to commemorate the 2024 double-brood of cicadas that emerged in the US over the summer is the 2024 Beastie and Bone collection of cicada species from around the world. These faux taxidermy cicadas are made of renewable mulberry paper, recycled cotton watercolor paper, and cardstock, cut and detailed by hand with gouache and ink.
Two Bat-Wing Cicadas are available, featuring both a specimen display variant with wings up and a more a more natural pose with wings down.

Mounted in 8” x 10” solid pine wood shadowbox frame with shatterproof acrylic glazing.
