Dragon Bones Limited Edition Fine Art Print
Winner of one of the two Patron Popular vote slots in honor of one year of dinosaur art at the Beastie and Bone Patreon!
Dragon Bones was original released in January of 2024 as a single-run 5"x7" miniprint on recycled cardstock. Now, it is re-released as a limited edition run of 8"x10" archival prints on acid-free, matte paper with a velvety finish.
Printed in the US, and limited to only 60 prints.
About Dragon Bones:
Created for the Year of the Dragon, this Patreon-exclusive miniprint features the skeleton of a Spinosaurus, the longest carnivorous creature to date, with that a tail that helps stretch out its body to over fifty feet in length.
Scientists still debate whether Spinosaurus was a truly aquatic or land-based animal, but details like the placement of its nostrils (halfway up the head) and wide-splayed toes perfect for crossing wet ground, seem to point toward it at least living near and hunting from bodies of water. So while it's far from the anatomy of Chinese, Korean, or Japanese dragons, it definitely was a being of power and prestige at prehistoric watery places!
